Founder, Bob Gilley opened the first of the Mytee Muffler Shops, Inc. on Tremainsville Road in Toledo, Ohio. Mytee was slow to develop because Bob was splitting his time between his corporate job at AP Parts and his retail store. Bob and Mytee made significant contributions to AP Parts programs and products that were marketed throughout the country.

       Mytee opened its second location on Reynolds Road in Toledo and began branching into other serves, including brakes, front end, axle, and tire service.
     
       Mytee opened its third store on Holland-Sylvania Road in Toledo. This store was located two blocks off the Central Avenue strip and soon became the repair center for most of the used car dealers on the strip. The rapport developed with the car dealers has been very important to Mytee's success.
   
     Mytee opened an under car parts warehouse to supply their own stores and other retailers in the Toledo market. The warehouse helped establish Mytee as the low cost supplier of retail automotive parts to the local market because most all products were purchased directly from manufacturers without middlemen. This position was further enhanced when Mytee joined "Tru Star", (the nation's largest under car buying group) in 1989.

       Mytee opened a Big Truck store in Holland, Ohio specializing in big truck, motor home, small & medium truck repair. This store is very unique and well-received in the trucking industry. This store was sold in 1999 to Joe Zunk, a good friend and business associate.
 
       Mytee Perrysburg was opened and became the fifth store in the chain with an excellent location on Dixie Highway. This is an associate store owned and operated by Bob and Tom Bernhoft.
 
       Bob Gilley retired from Mytee and sold the stores to his sons. Bob is very fortunate to have two fine boys, Jeff and Brent, who are dedicated to carrying on the Mytee tradition. Both boys are college educated. Brent with a BBA from Ohio State, and Jeff with a masters in accounting from The University of Florida. Jeff is also a C.P.A. Don't let the education fool you. They will probably both be repairing cars when you visit Mytee. Both are adept technicians with five A.S.E. certifications.

     Mytee also is the dedicated repair facility for dealmakerautosales.net  The owners Brent and Jeff have been repairing vehicles for over two decades and in 2008 started a dealership (DEALMAKER AUTO SALES) which was very successful in it's first year.  They have been growing both businesses since by listening to their customers needs and giving them an honest product at a good price!
